About the Venue
Simple, sweet, perfection! The Garden Pavilion is the most remarkable setting to let your creativity shine. Almost any wedding theme, design, or color palette is guaranteed to fit eloquently at this beautiful location in Sonoma. The property at the Garden Pavilion is just as beautiful as the name entails. It is like stepping through the looking-glass and into a dream. This wedding above (captured beautifully by Rosemarie Lion) is a perfect example of using this lush garden space perfectly. They built around the Pavilion's already gorgeous existing space, making the venue a main player in the design rather than just a backdrop. And I can't leave out the exquisite flowers by the Red Barn Store at Oak Hill Farm. They chose beautiful flowers that blends with the venue flawlessly.

The wow factor...every bride wants it, but the vast majority of brides have no idea how to achieve it. More opulent brides often choose to achieve "wow" with an overabundance of large floral displays, collateral and props, while DIY brides create, haggle and craft themselves into their own wow factor. Unfortunately, even the most artistic brides or ones with the most lavish budgets can miss the mark.
A wedding with wow factor is one where the guests remember and talk about the celebration long after the last dance is over. Your celebration does not have to be opulent or over the top to create this; it just needs to be memorable - a true representation of you and your personal style. The wedding featured above is a perfect example of how the wow factor was found in simple elegance. The vivacious energy in the bride's remarkable smile carries through the entire design. Bright colors and a few choice accessories take this celebration up to the next level.
Rosemarie Lion shares what she loves about this wedding and venue:
The Garden Pavilion is charming – a real fairytale pavilion. People can rent the whole property for the weekend and the house for staying has the feel of a country pavilion as well. I loved the playful, free flowing energy and creativity brought into the wedding; reflected in the way the flowers were arranged, metal clamps for napkin holders (Karen is an occupational therapist and John works in the construction business – this can be seen in their choices), mechanical typewriter, and engraved rocks.
I Do Venues wants to recognize the talented team of wedding professionals who helped to make this bride's dream a reality: Photographer - Rosemarie Lion; Floral - Red Barn Store – Oak Hill Farm; Cake - Sweetie Pies; Catering - Piper Johnson Catering.
