I am Wearing My Mom’s Wedding Shoes Wedding

fun purple wedding ideas

When Mike popped the question Danielle already knew the exact pair of shoes she was going to be sporting down the aisle. As a child, Danielle had always admired her mother's vintage lavender wedding heels, and it would mean so much to this young bride to be to wear the same pair on her big day.
With that decided lavender became a definite theme, it was in the bouquets, the grooms attire and even the wedding cake. This fabulous lavender wedding was captured beautifully by Happy Confetti Photography which you can see more of by visiting the full gallery here.

Our flowers were gorgeous and elegant and Kimball Floral did such an amazing job. She is creative and extremely affordable. She put some fresh herbs in my bouquet, which made it smell totally amazing too!

Mike and I wanted to have something special to celebrate out first anniversary so we wrote Love notes to each other and bought our favorite bottle of wine and during the ceremony put them both in a box held by my brother and then sealed it. I'm so excited to open it in celebration of our first year together! We walked down the aisle as husband and wife with everyone blowing bubbles over us. I just remember thinking how happy and magical life was right at that moment!

steal worthy idea

We love this wedding ceremony detail! And it is totally a steal worthy idea, especially if you are a sparkling water fan! All you need to make these fun and affordable Baby's Breath aisle decor elements is several bunches of Baby's Breath and roughly a dozen empty San Pellegrino sparkling water bottles with their labels removed. Ta-da! How easy is that?!

Our inspiration for our wedding was spring, sunshine, and nature. We were so happy to be getting married in Wash Park; We really didn't want to compete with it's beauty with a ton of decorations, so we kept it simple and elegant. Our inspiration started with herbs, we both love food and cooking so we thought that would be a unique twist for the table decorations. Our cake was actually lavender flavored from Sugar Bakeshop. Natalie Slevin, the owner, was amazing to work with!
