diamond engagement ring

Whether it is an intimate gathering or the party of the year, every couple deserves an engagement party. Heck! You need to show off that sparkly number to all your friends and family. Can you believe this engagement ring from brookie.lynn19. See more ring selfies here.

Traditionally the bride's parents host the couple's engagement party, but you should know by now we're all about doing our own thing. We say host your own party and let your friends help you throw something fun together. But yes, do what ever feels right to you. Now read on to learn how to throw an insanely awesome engagement party!

step 1 make a guest list

engagement party guest list

First step is figure out who you are going to invite. This will give you a better idea on what type of venue you will need.

In order to help you be more organized, we made this super cute engagement party guest list. Easily write down everyone's address and emails. This list can also help you keep track of who is able to attend. Download this engagement party guest list here.

step 2 find a place

Now that you have your guest list you can figure out what type of venue you need. If your guest list exceeds a 100 then you will probably need to rent out a venue.

If you are are looking for something a bit more intimate we love the idea of an intimate house engagement party. Another fabulous idea is a  backyard bbq engagement party 0r my personal favorite a taco bar engagement party.

step 7 serve  something sweet

donut bags

Of course at any event you have to send your guests off with a sweet treat. We love these little donut bags from Stamps Jubilee. Umm sooo cute. Instead of From The New Mr. and Mrs you could put from the, "almost new," Mr.and Mrs. So cute!

Step 8 send thank you cards

Thank You cards

Be sure to send everyone a thank you card for attending.  If they brought you a celebration gift, be sure to mention it in your hand written Thank You.

We suggest ordering them before you even have the party, so you can send them out immediately after the party. We love these alabaster floral Thank You cards from Minted. Which of course can be personalized. We're so excited for you and be sure to send us photos of your insanely awesome engagement party!
