How To Find Great Ideas For Your Wedding In Toronto

Hey there Toronto couples, we've got some great news for you and your wedding planning process! If you are looking to get inspired and wish you could get some hands-on in-person experience, there is a new wedding show in your town. Just (About) Married wedding inspiration kicked off its very first event last year and it was a huge success.

But don't let us steal all the thunder, here's Just (About) Married to tell you all about it! Oh and as always, there are more photos to love from Fox Photography and Castle Avenue Photography in the full gallery

Just (About) Married

On a gorgeous early spring afternoon in downtown Toronto, we welcomed over 250 guests to an urban oasis tucked into a historic and unique wedding venue. Toronto is a bustling capital city, but in our space six stories above the busy streets, among white-washed walls and exposed brick, we hosted a dreamy, moody wedding full of industrial romance - except it wasn’t real. The first of its kind, Just (About) Married Mock Wedding & Market show was an afternoon dedicated to wedding inspiration, with industry professionals showcasing their talents in a real-wedding environment, culminating in the perfect styled shoot to celebrate the show’s vendors.

Here Come The Brides

The highlight of Just (About) Married was the surprise ceremony, where instead of one bride we wowed guests with a fashion show featuring a wide variety of wedding gowns and unique, flowy bridesmaid dresses custom designed by By Catalfo. The fashion show meant our ceremony was set up with chairs facing the runway but slightly tilted toward the vow exchange space - allowing all our guests a great view of the aisle and big moment. After the ceremony, guests wandered into the Marketplace to view handmade favours from local vendors, sample sweet treats from an array of dessert vendors, and enjoy appetizers from a selection of caterers. Guests particularly enjoyed the sweet jam favours from Penny Candy Jam with their customizable wedding labels.

Customizing the day

We wove the story of our couple into every element of this shoot, taking advantage of a versatile space that embodies the multi-faceted city we live in. After exchanging vows in front of gorgeous custom copper and floral columns designed by Rikki Marcone Floral Design, our couple escaped to the exclusive rooftop patio of the Burroughes Building for some alone time with one of our photographers Fox Photography to capture the romance of an intimate moment amidst the city skyline. Wintry blooms tied with a moody sash were perfectly paired with the fragility of the beaded and lace bridal gown from Ferre Sposa. Our bride sparkled as she shared a champagne toast with her new groom in front of the styled head table, adorned with mixed metals and more deep hues to match the historic charm of our venue.

In the end, it was the perfect day to celebrate the love stories of not only our couple but of the hundreds of guests who joined us to get inspired for their own big day. We can’t wait to do it all again!
