Add A Little Southern Charm

From Heather Chipps Photography: Our primary focus was to show "Ways to Add Southern Flair to Your Wedding Celebration”. We pulled together several key southern details to create a fun, colorful, and warm atmosphere that you might not find at your typical wedding.

Southern Style Stationery

Incorporate monograms into your celebration. Here, you can see a sweet monogram adorns the hand-painted invitation suite.

Groom Gifts & Style

Gift your groom with his favorite bottle of bourbon to share with his groomsmen before the celebration, or have a bourbon bar set up for your cocktail hour!

Opt for a bowtie and suspenders for the groom in place of a standard tie. Bonus points if the tie is seersucker like the High Cotton tie shown here!

Ruffles, Heirlooms & Puckered-Up Posies

Add touches of citrus fruit throughout your floral design for an unexpected touch of the south.

Incorporate thoughtful family heirlooms into your big day. We used etched glass candlestick holders that have been passed down through generations.

Include sweet tea as one of your main drink choices – not only will your guests appreciate it, but it bring a sense of nostalgia to your celebration!

Tie in feminine details such as lace and ruffles, shown here on the cake and in the detailing of the bride’s gown.

Southern Comfort Food

Thoughtfully plan out your meal to include southern delicacies such as the cornbread bar shown here. Biscuits would also be a good option!

Decorate with cast iron skillets! If you plan to have a buffet or bar of some sort, cast iron skillets are perfect for displaying food items. We also incorporated the mini cast iron skillets as a favor for the guests!

Use those sweet southern sayings in your signage throughout the celebration, shown here with a “Take One, Honey!” sign on the favor table.
