Free Spirited Wedding in the Ozark Mountains

Set in the Ozark mountains and draped in gorgeous shades of tangerine, terracotta, and burgundy, this outdoor wedding is the fall inspo you've been searching for! Both the ceremony and reception took place outside, and from the looks of it, they were blessed with perfect weather. The bridesmaids wore mix-and-match dresses in shades of orange while the bride wore a dreamy lace gown that had long off-the-shoulder sleeves that are serving all of the woodland fairytale vibes. Long wooden tables with amber glass and tapered candles set the scene for a romantic evening under the stars.

Haught & Bold Events helped this couple bring their nature-loving wedding dreams to life at The Nest At Prairie Creek. These florals by Rose Of Sharon Floral Design Studio amplified the fall color palette and introduced vibrant fresh tones to keep the mood bright and romantic. Jacqueline Kerr Photography was there to capture every special moment from the "I dos" to the sparkler send-off. A NATURE-INSPIRED WEDDING

The Ozark Mountains are an ideal location for couples that prioritize an outdoorsy lifestyle and laid-back vibe. Katherine and Benjamin met in true modern fashion, on a dating app. Their love of nature and family drew them to one another. The couple got busy planning their lives together because they both were eager to start a family of their own and create a life they had been dreaming of. This plan involved a wedding that represented their free-spiritedness while celebrating with their closest friends and family. Their personalities were truly represented by their design choices and overall feel in this nature lover-inspired wedding.“I remember peeking outside from the bridal chamber and feeling so overjoyed that the tables, flowers, and decor had exceeded my Pinterest expectations! Everything I had envisioned for the past year had been pulled together even more beautifully than I could have ever imagined. It was a complete vision. Cohesive, colorful, elegant, and from the heart,” says Katherine.

WHAT MATTERS MOST

Katherine and Benjamin placed their focus on what matters to them and finding the right team to work with to build that vision became their mission. They wanted to enjoy their wedding with their guests and not be worried about the details on the day. Their vendor choices enabled them to do just that. The result of so much planning created an intimate affair with all of their favorite people expressing their love for the couple. “There was so much love, tears, joy, dancing, and good old-fashioned fun! Everything was pulled together so magically. A wedding doesn’t have to be over the top to be a good time. It’s the people there and the vibe you create that makes a wedding memorable. Take time to write your vows that come from the heart. This will speak volumes of your love story...it is priceless. Remember that. It is key,” says Katherine.

COORDINATING THE COLOR PALETTE

Special accents such as amber-colored vintage goblets, beautifully curated paper products, and a dinner catered by and gifted from Katherine’s family friends played a role in pulling off a distinct soft, mellow and romantic feel. The fashion from the day represented both a bohemian and classical style. The men wore classic tuxedos while Katherine wore a whimsical Melissa Sweet Bridal gown, known for their romantic silhouettes catered to vintage-inspired brides. Katherine’s bridesmaids were free to choose various styles of dresses in different fabrics while keeping in line with her color palette.

“The challenge for this wedding was coordinating the bouquet colors with the dress colors and fabrics. We had a range of mauve, orange, terracotta, and dark teal to work with. We wanted the flowers to be textured and colorful while coordinating with the bridesmaids' dresses. Scabiosa and dahlias gave us some great texture to work with. Seasonal flowers like deep yellow solidago gave us the feeling of autumn. Orange ranunculus exuded a pop of vibrancy. Everything else was tied together with my favorite rose, the free spirit garden rose, which is a combination of bright pink and tropical orange,” says Althea Wiles with Rose Of Sharon Floral Design. Every single detail complemented the next in this fanciful wedding. Jewel tones, coordinated floral design, charming style, romantic fashion choices, and the couple’s sweet demeanor made this wedding one for the books.
