bridal look 1 & flower guide
The dresses, veils and accessories used in this shoot are from KMR Bespoke Bridal Designer’s 2015 collections. Marlene is a tea length bridal gown with an ivory silk taffeta circle skirt with layers of net and tulle to create a classic silhouette. The bodice is made from laser cut silk organza with an illusion neckline finished with bound silk taffeta and a floral laser cut finish on the waistband. Delicate rouleau loops and covered silk button create a beautiful fastening down the back showcasing the unusual fabric and floral detail.
The first Head dress was a contemporary style which is a circlet however not full of flowers. I (Lauretta) used Ivy twine as the frame with groupings off flowers which included : Burnt red calla lilies, Hydrangea, blushing bride pink mini proteas, rose hip berries and red cotinus foliage with a touch of clematis vine. I also attached a clip on bird which matched perfectly with the makeup. The bouquet to match was a compact grouped styled Hand Tied bouquet of hydrangea, calla lilies, roses with a bird clip attached.
bridal look 2 & hair ideas
Pamela is an ivory floor length lace gown with three quarter length lace sleeves. It has a deep V neckline at the front and back of the gown with scallop lace edge detailing on the neckline, sleeves and hem. The gown is fastened with pearl buttons down the back.
The surroundings were like a secret garden and I (Laura) wanted to follow that theme of mystery and capture the feeling of a crisp autumnal day. The cold white eyes of the models and seasonal flowers and berries in the flower crowns, clean lines and beautiful structured dresses, inspired me to create a range looks incorporating smooth curls and soft, undone textures, with harsh unbalanced twists and rolls that almost grew in to the crowns for a quirky but ultra feminine feel.
bridal look 3 & flower guide
Violet is an ivory floor length circle skirt gown with a corded lace V neckline bodice. The full skirt is made of two layers of ivory duchess satin and chiffon with scallop lace edge detailing on the waist. Violet was styled with one of KMR's bridal belts and veils.
The second headdress was a full wired blousy circlet of Hydrangea, snow berry, Pink Chrysanthemum and dille which was a perfect contrast with the model Sophie. Bouquet to match was a very wild styled Hand Tied bouquet of white ranunculus, blushing bride proteas and pink astible.
Bridal look 4 & makeup tips
Ruby is an ivory duchess satin gown with a low v neck back, large pleated skirt and applique shoulder detailing creating a modern silhouette. Ruby has been styled with one of KMR's bridal belts and veils.
Sarah’s wonderful brief for the makeup conjured up images of natural beauty woken from a spell induced winter slumber. To create a flawless fresh faced look I (Hazel) opted for the “airbase” airbrush foundation to give the desired icy base on which to build. I then contoured the face for subtle shading and applied Mac pink blush and frosting to add definition and highlight over the base. I hunted high and low for a white mascara for the frosty lashes but couldn’t find the right product so I improvised! I used a controlled sweeping motion to apply “airbase” foundation onto the lashes using the protector shield to prevent overspray. This gave a fantastic stand out effect with the added benefit of being long lasting. Rich berry colored lip gloss with a hint of brown lip color gave the desired deep contrast to complete the look.
