Day After Wedding Session Pose Ideas

Balloons kiss photo idea

Aubry + Ryan decided to forego their day of wedding portraits in favor of a day after session, and with all that extra time Christine Sarah Photography managed to capture some stunning images for them to cherish. Not only did they get to play dress up AGAIN as husband and wife, but they both had a chance to get their feet wet in a mini "trash the dress" session. Check out all the images for yourself in the full gallery for more pose ideas.

Beautiful backgrounds

From Christine Sarah Photography: My heart sang when I learned that this stunning couple wanted to forego traditional wedding day portraits and have an after session instead. After Sessions not only save precious time on your wedding day, but allow for full creativity with whatever incredible backdrop you choose. Oh my...did we choose some amazing backdrops.

Lakeside portrait ideas

Frozen in time

Aubry and Ryan adventured with me as we explored lakeside meadows, country roads, a marina and my favorite; a mountain waterfall nestled in the cascade mountains. Towards the end of our session, Aubry and Ryan were all too willing to step into that mountain water and have some romantic moments, all to be documented and frozen in time.

Enjoy your special day

From the bride: I decided to do an after session because I had planned on doing bridals, but then I realized that I would probably never do anything with the pictures of myself if my husband was not in them too. They would probably just sit in a dusty album somewhere. I also didn't want to waste a lot of time at the wedding trying to get good pictures of my husband and I because we would rather spend that time enjoying our special day.

A bit of advice

My advice for future brides regarding portrait sessions would be to make some plans beforehand. Look on Pinterest to get an idea of some favorite shots and communicate with your photographer about what type of pictures you are looking for and the location that you would like. After that, trust your photographer. Christine was so talented and being easy going and letting her get creative allowed us to get some incredible photos.
