Calling All Party Animals–An Eccentric Escapade At An English Manor House

Calling All Party Animals–An Eccentric Escapade At An English Manorhouse

This English manor house has seen its share of dancing and debauchery, so when it came time for this team of vendors to choose a venue for their party animal inspiration shoot, this decision was a no-brainer. This couple exudes cool-girl vibes with their tats, smokey eyes, and pixie cut, and they're definitely dressed the part. Alternating between black and white looks, they play with feminine silhouettes and luxurious fabrics adding a sharp edge to these otherwise soft looks. Red florals add a surge of romance and drama while gilded balloons give this party a fun bout of whimsy that would make Gatsby proud.

Balcombe Place is deceivingly genteel, but make no mistake, this venue was built for fun! The crawling floral installations were created by Early Hours and look so natural! They give the venue an abandoned overgrown feel that creates an aura of danger and daring. Devlin Photos used flash and shadow to convey that up-all-night party atmosphere that really makes these photos sing. The Bijou Studio, the designer behind this shoot, sees couples leaning more towards whimsy and eccentricity in the wake of these somber times, and why not? "A little party never killed nobody...". To see more from this crazy fun shoot, check out the full gallery. Keep reading to hear more from Alexandra Merri of The Bijou Studio

THE WAIT IS ALMOST OVER

After a year of waiting, we're expecting a time of fun and eccentricity especially when it comes to weddings. The historic setting of Balcombe Place in the English countryside was originally built with the purpose of being a party house and, hundreds of years later, The Bijou Studio wanted to bring the party. The inspiration for this shoot embraced a luxurious party animal inspiration for real-life professional dancing couple, Kimberley and Molly.

DRIPPING IN FLOWERS

An explosion of romantic rich red bougainvillea dressed the house expertly by renowned celebrity florists, Early Hours. The florals were arranged into a modern heart shape as an incredible floral wall backdrop to the ceremony, and then spilled over the oversized marble fireplace and up and around the couple's sweetheart table, and later, the cake cutting space. We went with a beautiful (without being ostentatious) cake design by Birch House Bakery

PARTY ON

Kimberley and Molly wore combinations of black and white attire by designers Halfpenny London and Emma Beaumont. As professional dancers, there were plenty of moments to celebrate with twirls of delight. Taking the party animal inspiration, stationery designer Pingle Pie fashioned a suite with custom illustrations and golden animal guest tags. And for the party animals in attendance, The Bijou Studio created a balloon ceiling of animal escort cards. Bubblegum Balloons also provided oversized golden orbs dripping with shimmering tassels as a nod to the ultimate party decade, the 1970s disco era. And also from the 1970s, we had statement platforms from famed shoe designer Terry De Havilland.
