BHLDN’s New Spring 2021 Collection Honors a Strong, New Way to Wedding
Every time bridal market (or Bridal Fashion Week, if you’re feeling particularly editorial 💁♀️), bridal designers bring a very specific, very intentional vision of the fashion that’s about to be viral in the world of vows - but this season, in the midst of a very long, very tumultuous COVID-torn set of circumstances, there’s only one thing on wedding trend tastemakers’ minds: to give brides something to smile about again. And BHLDN is delivering on that charge, tenfold, with a new guard of gowns and dresses that aren’t meant to leave anyone out. Every bride can find something to wear to her wedding and feel confident that it’ll fit the vibes of the venue, the occasion, and the pledges, so vehemently. Not to say that happiness has faded from the wonders of weddings these days, but it has certainly been compromised. The Spring 2021 collection from BHLDN features 12 fresh looks, including several additions to the brand’s recently-launched Plus collection.

We won’t say that 2020 has come with very many positives, it’s been quite painful, tbh. But given how pulse-shaking the uncertainty has been, it’s also made couples and their closest confidants (friends and family) realize that an event like a wedding shouldn’t come with prescriptives. It’s up to the couple to ‘choose their own adventure’ and it should come with zero caveats.
These are the trends ‘of the moment’
But we’re willing to bet that they’ll last a lifetime. That’s what happens when entire moods, movements, and momentum replace fragile and fleeting motifs.
