Alice Goes to Disneyland Wedding + Budget Breakdown

Disney Fantasy Wedding
We both love Disney and wanted to incorporate it into our special day. I’m not a Disney princess type but have always loved Alice. And it was a way to incorporate my love for shabby chic with all of the teapots and teacups. Dale and I collected over 60 teapots in a span of almost 2 years. I started collecting them before he even proposed.
No Pre-Made Supplies, No Problem
Our wedding was highly DIY since it’s quite difficult to find Alice in Wonderland party supplies. Dale created the “this way, that way” signs, the “eat me, cut me” squares and the cornhole game with his own hands. I made the card box and it cost me about $6. The day of the wedding all of the bridesmaids helped me fill up about 100 of the drink me viles with vodka and pink lemonade and midor
Dressed To Impress
The men wore Vera Wang suits from Men’s Wearhouse. Instead of boutonnières, they wore Disneyland Cast Member name tags. Their ties were pink and purple stripes to resemble the Cheshire Cat.
7, yes 7, flower girls at our wedding! They all dawned simple Alice dresses with white tights and black shoes. The first set of girls dropped white petals from their baskets, the next set dropped red petals and the last set of girls dropped playing cards.
The ring bearer wore an Alice in Wonderland white rabbit costume I found at a local thrift shop for $2. He carried a big clock pillow down the aisle. Above all that, he was most excited about his white Chuck Taylor’s.
Quirky & Cute Reception
All of our tables were draped with a different pastel colored tablecloths and the string-lights above made the reception area look like the Teacup ride at Disneyland. Every table was Alice in Wonderland themed (Queen of Hearts, White Rabbit, Absolem, etc). My lovely groom and his groomsman set up all of the tables before our ceremony.
