A Yellow Bumble Bee Wedding

A Yellow Bumble Bee Wedding

Leah and Daniel are a perfect example that you can plan a fabulous wedding in just three short months. With help from their family and friends, they planned a wedding filled with style and personal details. With a slight nod to the bumble bee and the color yellow, this Florida wedding turned out to be flawless.
This yellow bumble bee wedding wasn't overflowing with bees everywhere, just subtle touches here and there, the stationery, and a small pin on a vintage hankie wrapped around the bouquet. Just enough to make the theme memorable, but not overpowering. You can see more details up close in the full gallery by clicking here. Perfectly photographed by Shea Christine.
Wait... don't think we  forgot about the utterly fabulous dress Leah wore at the reception below. This little cream number has the right amount vintage flair and the perfect length to dance the night way. Are you thinking of wearing another dress for your reception? Share a comment with a link to your dress, so we can peek at it. We would love to check it out.

From The Bride:

Our engagement was only three months long, we really did not have time to sweat the small stuff. We had to pare things down to what was really important to us, and focus primarily on these three things: 1) God would be the center of our marriage and wedding day; 2) We wanted our friends and family to get the awesome party they deserve for being so loving and supportive in each of our lives; and 3) We wanted good food before we danced the night away.
The day was flawless. It was so much more than we ever imagined, much less, even deserved.

We wanted to make sure that all of our family was really involved in our day, including my brother and sister-in-law, and all five of Daniel's siblings. We never chose what was popular, we chose things that were personal to us. For instance, my bridesmaids and I didn't walk down the aisle to the typical "Here Comes the Bride" music; instead, my musician brother Dave arranged string versions of "Bittersweet Symphony" by The Verve, "Transatlanticism," by Death Cab for Cutie, and "Hoppipolla" by Sigur Ros for the string quartet to play for our entrances and exits.

We decorated with old frames, books, pictures, and knick-knacks that were personal to our families to represent our appreciation for what our families mean to us. Danielle was so creative in decorating and planning that I literally did not have to worry at all. She knew what I wanted and made it happen. My mind was completely at ease with her.
Our officiant Mark Miller was also our marriage counselor. He was so right-on with the message, and our guests really loved what he said.

If you happen to know a quilter or know how to put together a quilt, Leah and Daniel have a steal worthy idea for you. They provided pieces of fabric and markers for each of their guests to write them a message that would later be made into a keepsake quilt. The sign below says: please take your bow tie. Using the markers provided leave a message for Daniel and Leah's quilt to bee. Write or draw in the middle.
