A Last-Minute Venue Change That Really Paid Off

A Last Minute Venue Change That Really Paid Off

When their Mexico destination wedding fell through because of COVID, this couple looked to their local New Jersey vendors to save the day, and they managed to score one of the most coveted estate venues in the region, The Mansion At Natirar! The sexy, carefree, beach-wedding vibes were carried over to this new change of venue and ended up adding a touch of spice that isn't normally seen at a traditional estate wedding. The original green and white color palette also traveled well and coordinated perfectly with the mansion's teal and white interior and brick exterior. There is one more major plus that came out of the last-minute change, their fur babies got to be there–and they're in tuxes!

The huge gold and floral arch by Solstice Floral has to be one of our favorite parts of this wedding! Lauren Kearns Photography was there to capture every special moment as it unfolded and Tone Media got it all on video. A LAST-MINUTE CHANGE OF VENUE

A Last Minute Venue Change That Really Paid Off

When COVID-19 interrupted Jenny’s and Rob’s plans for a destination wedding in Mexico, they pivoted quickly, moving their wedding two months earlier to a local mansion on a hill, in Peapack, NJ. While the typical process of booking and planning a tristate wedding can take years, Jenny and Rob pulled it off in just 51 days after deciding to change venues! Natirar and the award-winning 90 Acres restaurant lie at the crest of a hill in Peapack, NJ, approximately one hour west of Manhattan, in a region renowned for its natural beauty and horse farms. Originally, Natirar was built as a weekend retreat for members of the Macy family (Macy’s department stores). Later, the property was owned by Hassan II, King of Morocco. Today, Natirar, with its restored Tudor Revival manor house, is among the most outstanding wedding venues in the New York Metro area, famous for its timeless elegance and dramatic view.

THE BRIGHT SIDE

While Jenny chose her wedding dress to match her beachy chic Caribbean wedding, she wore it proudly for her new country estate wedding! The best part about their change of venue and location meant that their beloved dogs, Charlie and Houston (two of the world’s best-behaved dogs), donned tuxedos and joined the wedding party! The night ended with dinner and dancing under the tent on the back patio, with a brilliant sunset fading over the hills. I’m sure the wedding Jenny and Rob planned in Mexico would have been wonderful, but it’s hard to imagine anything more beautiful or elegant than their day at Natirar!
