5 ways a Great Florist Can Rock Your Wedding Day

Caitlin and Stu had a fantastic wedding day at a beautiful wedding venue and the smiles on theirs and all of their guests faces could not have been truer. 1. The Bouquet

From the Bride

One of the first things I remember was changing into my dress in the front room at Blanc with all of my favorite women surrounding me. It felt so surreal!! I had thought about that day for over a year and suddenly it was all happening! I’ll NEVER forget our florist, Angela, handing me my bouquet for the first time it was so incredibly gorgeous and breathtaking, I didn’t know I would love a bouquet of flowers so much.

From the Groom

When the groomsmen first arrived at Blanc there was a whole lot of action going on. Angela and company were setting up the outdoor space, which was the first time I saw our concept and plans come into life! I was nervous before seeing Caitlin. [We] did a first look behind the Blanc barn, all my nerves went away and I was nothing but happy the rest of the evening.

From the Bride

I vividly remember our first look- all of the stress melted away in an instant at that moment and it was just the two of us with full hearts and wide eyes.

2. The Ceremony

For the couple’s ceremony Angela with Bella Lu Floral, who worked with the couple on event design, created a horseshoe of lush greenery and pampas grass with added florals to complete the piece. She hung neutral toned drapery in the trees behind the ceremony to soften the urban surroundings. Rugs ran down the aisle in a slight “s” shape designed to create a more intimate feel to the ceremony.

From The Bride

My favorite part of the ceremony was right after we were pronounced husband and wife, we turned around to see everyone we love most in our lives standing up and cheering for us. It was electric!

From the Groom

After the ceremony, we went straight into a cocktail hour and since pictures were done beforehand, Cait and I were able to celebrate with our beloved guests. That was such a treat. People had flown or drove in from all parts of the country to be with us and we wanted to make a point to chat with everyone. Everyone was beaming and you could tell our guests were relaxed and happy, exactly the atmosphere we were aiming for.

3. The Floral Chandelier

Guests entered the reception and were wowed! A key focal point of the room was the long farm table for the bridal party in the center of the room, above which hung a long suspended lush greenery chandelier with floral clusters woven within. Bits of greenery trickled down to give it a natural feeling. Tea light candles in clear orbs hung from the chandelier added serious romance.

From the Bride

I’ll also never forget walking through the venue for the first time and seeing our ceremony and reception space. Blanc is a blank slate, and when we first met Angela we decided to give her the creative freedom to do what she does best. It was TRULY incredible to see her work come to life- she completely transformed Blanc into our dream space!

4. The Place Settings

The head table had a beautiful white and blue floral runner from La Tavola accenting the guest tables and hanging greenery. Monstera leaves were placed under the head table napkins, the copper chairs from the ceremony added an element of industrial chic.

The guest tables were draped in a gorgeous blue table linen with differing floral arrangement styles that added depth and variety to the space. Some tables had low floral arrangements in gold pedestals, others in large copper terrariums, while the rest had lush greenery in tall clear vases.

5. The Dessert Table

Behind the dessert display, Bella Lu Floral created a wall of hanging Italian Ruscus vines dripping from aspen branches; ferns were placed on either side for fullness and texture. The couple, their friends and family danced the night away.

From the Bride

I will forever remember how seamless our wedding was from start to finish- on the day of and during our months of planning- we had the BEST team on our side. There is nothing I would change- It was truly the most amazing day and everything we could have hoped for and more.
