Sex and the City: An NYC Bachelorette Party Itinerary

Share

As fun as it should be, planning a bachelorette party can seem overwhelming while you’re already in the middle of planning a wedding, a rehearsal dinner, and everything else in between. So let us plan it for you! We’ve been rewatching our comfort show, Sex And The City, and we couldn’t help but think how cute a SATC bach party in NYC would be. So here is your perfect NYC bachelorette party itinerary…

The Stay

Friday, you all arrive at your hotel, The Manner. This SoHo boutique hotel is intimate, sexy, and in the middle of everything without feeling like a giant tourist hotel. It’s also perfectly positioned for a weekend that revolves around SoHo + West Village + Meatpacking—the neighborhoods that feel most authentically SATC.

Friday: Girls Night In

After everyone settles into their rooms, change into your character’s go-to PJs. Think Carrie writing her column at 2 a.m. while Miranda is eating Chinese food on the couch.

If you need help, here’s a little dress code inspo…

Speaking of food, is that the door? Yep, that’s the takeout you ordered from the local fave, The Best Sichuan 21 一品成都. And don’t forget the champagne and cosmos. Now it’s time for some games!

The Games

1. Who Said It?

SATC quotes—everyone guesses Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, or Miranda.

2. The Ex Files

Everyone writes down a short, unhinged dating story from their past and puts it in a bowl. One by one you pick out a paper and read the story out loud and try to guess who it happened to.

3. A Perfect Pair-ing

Everyone buys the bride a lingerie set and drapes it somewhere in the room. The bride then has to guess who gave her which set. Let the chaos ensue…

Once the games are over, and everyone is winding down, cuddle up in your robes for a late-night SATC binge over Magnolia cupcakes!

After everyone’s had their beauty rest, get ready over room service and coffee. Now, it’s time to go SHOPPING! Head to SoHo and don’t be afraid to split off. Take some time to check some must-haves off of your wedding day or honeymoon shopping list. Then meet up for drinks at Champers.

The Dress Code: fashion but keep it casual…

Take your shopping spoils back to the hotel for show and tell, then get your glam on over some cosmos—tonight is your big Carrie moment. You guys have tickets to The Great Gatsby on Broadway, so go all out on the fashion. And instead of cheesy t-shirts or bridal sashes and tiaras, have everyone wear a chic fascinator.

But first dinner…

Enjoy skyline views and chic Italian fare at Bar Sprezzatura NYC. The rooftop location is perfect for quintessential skyline selfies, and it’s walking distance from the theater.

After the show, you’ve got one last stop at Pearl Box NYC for a late-night cocktail! Then it’s back to the hotel for comfort food and a kiki.

Sunday: The Last Brunch

It’s your last day in the city, and the only proper way to say farewell is a ridiculously chic brunch moment at Sirrah. Share some laughs and happy tears over French pastries, lattes, and frites.

The Dress Code: ladies who brunch…

And just like that, your bachelorette party was all planned. Now all that’s left to do is make your reservations.
