Susana and Rolando’s wedding at Terre Di Nano in Tuscany was the perfect blend of intimacy, culture, and contemporary style. Although both families live in America, their Cuban heritage was celebrated throughout the weekend, bringing together two lively, love-filled households in the rolling Tuscan hills. Guests were seated facing a sweeping 360-degree panorama of the Tuscan landscape, a breathtaking natural backdrop that needed no extra decoration. The intimate scale of the wedding meant every detail felt personal, from the way family and friends laughed together over Italian wine to the heartfelt speeches. As the sun set, the celebration slipped seamlessly from romantic to lively, with music and dancing carrying on late into the night. This was a wedding that celebrated not only the couple’s love, but also the beauty of blending worlds—Cuba, America, and Italy—into one unforgettable celebration.
the vibe: soft & sensual
Tuscany is often imagined in a rustic palette of neutrals and reds, but Susana and Rolando wanted to create something softer and more sensual. Working closely with their planner, Monica Jardine, and florist Toscoana Flowers, they transformed the setting with ruched, silky tablecloths and bold, fashion-forward textures. The color story felt glamorous yet still at home against the timeless beauty of the countryside.
getting ready
Susana took in the early morning air from the terrace of her villa bridal suite, dressed in a lace-trimmed satin robe, matching slip, and feathered slippers. With his groomsmen at his side, Rolando put the finishing touches on his wedding day and enjoyed having all of his favorite people together in this incredible place.
the first look
The day began with a heartfelt first look—just the two of them, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. It was an emotional moment, full of happy tears, before they walked hand in hand toward their ceremony.
the fashion
Susana was a vision in a long-sleeved lace and tulle gown by Enzoani. The corseted bodice and dramatic neckline added a sexy touch to the otherwise fairy tale bridal look. Rolando was the perfect complement in a dashing ivory dinner jacket, black pants, and a black bowtie.
the cake
In true Italian fashion, the two cut into a traditional millefoglie topped with fresh berries. As a surprise to them and their guests, sparks flew for the special moment.
