Alyssa and Trey joke that they met during the “before times,” a.k.a. pre-pandemic. There’s some debate over who slid into whose DMs first, but either way, their love story began with an online connection. In 2022, they traveled to the Cayman Islands – a favorite destination of Alyssa’s. Trey proposed on the second night of their trip after a full day of surf and sand. Alyssa and Trey’s one-of-a-kind wedding theme planned by LOLA Event Productions and photographed by Danielle Simone & Co. created a distinct brand of luxury nostalgia, inspired by their favorite film and a beloved antique store. Drawing from Woody Allen’s “Midnight in Paris” and the celebrated antique shop in Ponce City Market, “Georgia,” their day became a celebration of the eclectic and the theme “Midnight in Paris on Ponce” was born.

Vintage theater program-inspired invitations
A vintage theater-inspired invitation suite by Steracle Press set the stage for a luxe, architecturally driven event.

Featured venue: Salvage One
Chicago’s Salvage One, an architectural salvage store, provided a unique setting for the day. The black-tie event maintained an elevated feel while celebrating eclectic furniture, the grit of Paris, and a style unbound by any particular era. Bride Alyssa thoughtfully planned each detail to create the ultimate guest experience.

On trend: overskirt bridal style
Alyssa wore a strapless two-piece dress with a sheer, textured bodice and overskirt.

French-inspired groom’s style
The groom and his groomsmen donned perfectly timeless black bowtie style by Tom Ford.

Unique detail: Vintage lamp installation
The ceremony was stunningly moody with deep maroon draping, chandeliers, and stone details. Instead of florals around the altar, the couple opted for an altar of vintage lamps, adding a unique detail to the event.

Featured favor: custom wedding scent
A custom, unisex wedding scent — created by legendary perfume designer Dawn Spencer Hurwitz — was bottled and labeled with each guest’s name and table number. Aptly named after their wedding theme, the fragrance display doubled as their escort cards, adding another layer of personal detail.
