High school sweethearts Alexa and Ben crossed paths when she became the manager for his baseball team. They started dating soon after, and despite attending colleges in different states, the pair made the distance work and came out stronger on the other side. Not one for big proposals, Alexa wasn’t expecting Ben to pop the question after a typical walk around the block with their dog! Upon returning to their apartment, she found flowers and champagne (set up by some friends) and Ben on one knee. Little did she know, Ben had a whole weekend planned — from an intimate family dinner that evening, engagement photos the next day, and a disco-themed engagement party the following night with friends and family who traveled to celebrate with them. Inspired by a classic coastal vibe, Alexa and Benjamin’s Nantucket wedding at The Chanticleer planned with the help of Jimmy Jaksic of Immaculate Reception and captured by Rebecca Love Photography was a timeless nod to New England summers.

Theme: charmingly quaint garden party
Instead of going the way of beachy nautical vibes, Alexa envisioned a charming and quaint summer garden party full of soft florals and pastel tones.

Bridal style: classic New England coastal
Bride Alexa wore a timeless spaghetti strap satin A-line wedding dress by Lela Rose from The Plumed Serpent with a minimalist cathedral-length veil.

Blue and white bridesmaid inspo
