Minimalist wedding at a castle on the spanish coast

Share

neutral wedding inspiration

You fell in love with a historic venue, but your personal style leans more modern and minimalist. Don’t panic! You can have it all, and this destination wedding in Spain proves it! The key is letting the bones of the venue shine and not trying to overcomplicate the design with too many colors. Stick with a chic neutral palette and play instead with the shape and texture of your florals to give the look a crisp, modern edge. Keep reading to hear more about how this couple planned their dream destination wedding without ever setting foot in the country or meeting their planners in person before the big day. Plus, you won’t want to miss a single one of these dreamy photos by Vera Fleisner!

Calina and Kevin traveled all the way to Tarragona, Spain, and got married in the mind-blowing Castle of Tamarit, located on a hilltop right on the beach! The most incredible part of this journey is that everything has been organized blindfolded. The couple did not get to visit the venue, nor the country, nor I DO NOMAD, their planners, until the actual wedding day! The style was purely romantic and minimalist, with green and white as main colors, integrating trendy elements with the classic features of an ancient castle.

modern monochromatic floral design

Despite the understated color palette, Loving the Flowers made the monochromatic theme modern and engaging. By keeping some arrangements purely greenery and others all-white, they created arrangements that felt sculptural and provided a unique contrast to the naturally occurring foliage surrounding the historic venue.

minimalist column wedding dress

The bride was elegant and timeless in a draped column gown with a slight train. As she walked down the aisle, you could see the sheer corset detail on the back peeking through her tulle veil. The groom went with a classic black tuxedo for the occasion, paired with a black bow tie.
