the vision: sleek yet colorful

We knew we had a modern wedding on the beach in Cabo, with stunning scenery already in place, thanks to Marquis Los Cabos. Our goal was to elevate the experience while keeping things simple. We incorporated bold pops of color and carefully placed details, pairing them with a minimalistic aesthetic that allowed us to highlight the venue and setting, particularly the stunning architecture and simple lines of the ceremony space. At the same time, we made sure our personal touches were present. Our color scheme was surprisingly inspired by a fig, with deep purples and bright reds balanced by subtle shades of green. Yes! Our florist sourced these beautiful, locally handmade candles that looked like blooming flowers. They were my favorite detail on our reception tables.

getting ready

As the bright Los Cabos sun filtered through the windows of the suite, the mother of the bride helped her daughter into her chic mermaid gown. Her bridesmaids helped put the finishing touch on the look by pinning her long tulle veil in place.

the fashion

We love it when a groom makes a statement with his look, and this burgundy suit is right up our alley. The bride wore a structured mermaid gown with a dramatic plunging neckline by Colby John Bridal. The bridesmaids rocked this year’s hottest color, the perfect shade of satin in a variety of silhouettes.

the first look

When you’re doing your venue walk-through for your wedding, don’t just go to the ceremony and reception spaces; make sure you explore the entire property. You’ll find hidden gems and unique spaces for each part of your day, like your first look.

the food

We had the opportunity to sit down with Chef Claudio Hotter during a pre-visit trip to explore his favorite dishes. Everything was incredible, which made narrowing down the options a tough decision. We started with a salad – Mixed field greens with grilled pear over fine Boursin, heirloom tomatoes, caramelized pecan in hibiscus & lemon vinaigrette, followed by soup (Corn Chowder with seared Salmon and lightly smoked bacon dust), and then the main course of choice between grilled beef tenderloin and marinated shrimp over creamy mashed garlic potato, reduced red wine shallot in jus, sauteed baby vegetables OR Sauteed catch of the day over creamy asparagus risotto, Miraflores vegetables in light sparkling wine and lemon-garlic butter. Dessert was a Tres leches cake, which is Hannah’s favorite. The food was a highlight of our celebration!
