About the venue

If you happen to get lost along highway 101 near the Russian River, you will most assuredly meander your way past the quaint and charming village of Sebastopol. I love this charming part of the Wine Country; well-known for amazing Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the Russian River Valley’s appeal as a destination for incredible wine country weddings is making a splash among brides nationwide.

Vine Hill House has quickly become a favorite! The grand Victorian-era home is located on the O’Connell Vineyards Estate – the estate wine is superb, but the grounds definitely garner some attention of their own. Surrounded by rolling vineyards and heirloom organic apple orchards, the property also offers panoramic views of Mount Saint Helena and the Coastal Mountain Range – absolutely breathtaking!

This spectacular event captures the essence of the Vine Hill House perfectly and Rosemarie Lion has created such a captivating journal for the couple. I love the details and the low-light shots – just amazing. As you take in the setting, the expansive lawn filled with dining tables and a string of cafe lights overhead, you realize it is just the right amount of “country couture” with a touch of elegance and sparkle. The flowers are simply stunning. The color combination of raspberry, blush, and magenta allow them to stand out against the deep green hues of the natural backdrop. They bring just the right amount of color and texture without being overwhelming. The floral work on the rustic country arbor receives a huge thumbs up!! The bright colors pop against the aged wood, the hanging elements mimic the idea if the hanging grapes in the vineyard beyond, and the overall look creates movement and softens a more masculine structure. Love It.

I Do Venues wants to recognize the talented team of wedding professionals who helped to make this bride’s dream a reality: Photographer – Lion Photography; Coordinator – Dan O’Connell of Vine Hill House; Floral – Gavita Flora; Cake – Susiecakes; Catering – Trends Catering, Entertainment – AMS.
