an elegant and historic venue

The breathtaking wedding of Alex and Niki was captured on an old-school film camera. From the start, they envisioned an elegant wedding that also felt very personal to them. This vision came to life most poignantly in their heartfelt vows. For their wedding, the couple chose the historic Langham Huntington Hotel in Pasadena, California, as the venue, known for its timeless charm.

The bride tried on countless gowns before finally finding “the one”—the Sophia Ballgown designed by Peter Langer. The gown featured a lace drop waist design with a detachable petticoat, transforming into a mini dress for the end of the night. The dress was customized with a two-foot train, to ensure a grand entrance down the steps. Complementing her, Alex wore a white suit by Polo Ralph Lauren.

a floral wonderland in bright pink and coral

The ceremony took place in the Horseshoe Garden. As it was a spring/summer wedding, Niki and Alex opted for a bright pink and coral chuppah adorned with hanging flowers. This color palette carried through to the ballroom reception, where gold tables complemented the room’s elegant accents. The space was further adorned with tree centerpieces by Butterfly Floral dripping with peach flowers, along with other floral arrangements that echoed the hanging flowers from the chuppah. The couple’s wedding emblem was featured on custom dinner menus, matchboxes, drink stirrers, and the signature cocktail menu signs, adding a personal touch to the reception. Guests enjoyed the couple’s favorite cocktails—Espresso Martinis and Spicy Margaritas.

an audio guest book and a fun new tradition

In addition to the photo booth, the couple added a unique twist with an audio guestbook, allowing friends and family to leave heartfelt voice messages for the bride and groom. The couple listened to these messages on the flight to their honeymoon to Bali, allowing them to experience the joy, laughter, and support from their loved ones a second time!
