We love a custom illustration on a wedding invitation, but this couple took it one step further. Guests were greeted by a painting of the venue’s facade and the invitations opened to reveal a portrait of the couple surrounded by nods to their personalities and clues as to where the wedding would be taking them.
a meaningful destination
John and Justina’s wedding took place in the beautiful San Miguel de Allende where Justina’s family vacationed during her childhood years. The weekend kicked off with a Thursday welcome party hosted by John’s family who served margaritas using their family’s recipe while guests were serenaded by Spanish guitars. On Friday, the rooftop rehearsal dinner came to a grand finale with an amazing display of fireworks.
what they wore
For the rehearsal dinner, the bride glowed in a champagne brocade dress with metallic accents, accessorized by an adorable ostrich feather purse. On the big day, she evoked traditional Spanish style with a long-sleeved lace wedding gown by Calla Blanche.
Justina’s bridesmaids wore metallic dresses while John’s groomsmen wore their gifted black Tecovas cowboy boots with their tuxes.
a garden ceremony
Framed by a stunning white floral arbor, created by Angelica de Solache, the groom watched as the bride was escorted down the aisle by her father. Their family and friends watched as the couple exchanged vows during a beautiful sunset ceremony.
a glowing reception
Tall candles adorned long dinner tables at Casa Cien, creating a warm glow for guests as they enjoyed their meals. Justina and John were the first to step foot on the dance floor, and the last to step off as their DJ kept the party going all night long. Christmas necklaces, saxophone players, mojigangas, and many other details made their wedding an absolute dream.
