Nicole and Alexandrea spent an entire semester in meetings together for the Articles Committee of the Georgetown Law Journal without a formal introduction. Ultimately, a conversation about a colorful windbreaker broke the ice. Five years later, Alex proposed to Nicole on the rooftop of their condo in what could only be described as the perfect summer evening. Enchanted by springtime in Washington D.C., Nicole and Alexandrea’s wedding captured the iconic beauty of cherry blossoms. Even though their wedding date was after the bloom season had ended, the couple was inspired by their engagement photos, taken during the peak of the bloom. Romantic bridal style at Meridian House
The brides aimed to create the feeling of a romantic retreat for their guests, hosting their event at the historic Meridian House. This is also where they met for their first look. Since they had shopped for dresses separately, they were in awe of how perfectly their looks worked together!
Trees lined the ceremony aisle
The ceremony was held in the historic garden within a grove of linden trees. Garden blooms and the canopy of green overhead added to the romantic feel. A rainbow wedding arch, designed with muted colors by Cedar and Lime Co., stood as the backdrop for the altar.

Cherry-blossom themed reception
After the ceremony, the floral arch was moved to the reception to frame their meticulously painted cherry blossom-inspired cake by Buttercream Bakeshop. Formal dining was held in The Library and Drawing Room. The mansion’s walls displayed 18th-century paintings and built-in bookshelves, which housed hundreds of classic works. The day’s statement color, cherry blossom pink, was accentuated by candles, linens, and florals.

A favorite flirty moment for the couple was sneaking off to enjoy ice cream cones from their ice cream cart.
