7 To Die For Emerald Cut Diamond Rings Like Demi Lovato’s New Rock

Share

It’s always a good day when you wake up, eyes-still-misty, and grab your phone to get smacked square (slash emerald?) in the face by a gigantic diamond and a stunning celeb couple who just announced their engagement. I swear, a caption isn’t even needed when the content is straight fire – and that’s precisely what Demi Lovato, Max Ehrich, and her ridiculously-blinding new emerald cut engagement ring on the beach happen to be.

Granted, it’s only been about half a year since the two went public with their love, but when you know, you know, right? Especially in the midst of a global pandemic, because the couple who makes it through the year 2020 together, rides for life if you ask us.

“it’s a forever kind of thing 💘💍♾”

Yup, dude gets it.

The two were beaming, obvi, but the even bigger thing to pop in those pretty shoreline engagement shots was Demi’s multi-carat forever ring from 90210 jeweler to the stars, Peter Marco. Most people usually flash their rock in A pic or two, but Demi Lovato isn’t most people. Pretty sure every single one of her cool, almost-90 million followers can rattle off the specs of her mega-watt emerald cut sparkler, and tbh, we really don’t care. That beauty deserves all the gushing over its gorgeousness. #sorrynotsorry.

What we love about it:
  • Its modern emerald cut, it feels really glam and edgy at the same time and, truly, that’s what we’d say of the queen who’s wearing it
  • Its brightness. For someone who has weathered through a lot of dark times in recent years, this feels like the light at the end of the tunnel. Pretty damn symbolic
  • Its versatility. Demi started her engagement out wearing white, and it bodes well that her ring didn’t get lost in her fashion. We’ve seen her in white, black, red, prints, and neons, and this ring will go with it all.
What fine jewelry virtuosos think of the vibe:

“Emerald cuts are really special, because they have a step cut faceting arrangement… Unlike other fancy-shaped cuts, like an oval, radiant or cushion that have brilliant faceting arrangements, the emerald cut has a beautiful hall of mirrors effect. To me, it’s a very regal cut, that seems timeless and sophisticated.

And each emerald is unique. They vary in length-to-width ratio, meaning that they can be very slender and elongate or a bit wider and more square in shape. Their clipped or cut corners contribute to what makes them stand out.

Emerald cuts beautifully bridge the gap between a vintage and a modern cut, in my opinion. I just love them!”
