First Off Take Your Time Getting To the Alter

After 7 years of dating and moving 2,000 miles to be together, lovebirds Robin and Marc finally said “I do” on July 3, 2016. Though their whimsical forest wedding took place where they grew up in the Midwest, it had a sprinkling of LA — their new home.

Robin wore flowers in her hair and a bohemian lace dress among the natural tree and lake background. This was accented by their color scheme: dramatic berry and romantic blush, with hints of purple.

They didn’t skimp on the personal details. Guests were informed of the wedding via a stop motion video save-the-date, which spelled out the details in flowers. While the formal invitation featured an illustration of the couple.

Know Thyself!

Robin walked down the aisle to her favorite song, Tangled’s “I See the Light,” performed on a harp (and it’s even more befitting, as she works for the Mouse). Following were their personal vows and time capsule, filled with personal mementos they would rediscover in 10 years. There wasn’t a dry eye in the forest!

Create The Atmosphere You Are Most Comfortable In

The reception tent glowed with Edison bulbs and romantic lanterns that were very Hogwarts-esque. Each guest found their seat with a handwritten tag attached to a vintage handkerchief. The table numbers, written on geods, where themed by age with accompanying photos of the adorable couple. The centerpieces varied from flowers in vintage silver tea pots to cascading garlands.

The evening included a choreographed dance to “Dream a Little Dream of Me,” typewriter guest book, Polaroid photo booth, and late-night donuts. And to continue the celebration, the couple recreated a photo from both of their parents’ weddings and presented the side-by-sides as thank you gifts. Put simply, it was an affair to remember.
