*Sniff sniff* Does anyone else smell frying fish? Oh, we kid of course; this truly unexpected desert venue for a mermaid wedding shoot will surprise you with it’s aquatic beauty. Not only are the bride and her maids decked out in some gorgeous gowns but they are all sporting some pretty bangin’ mermaid makeup to go with this sand filled shoot. Plus the crashing waves inspired wedding cake is an absolute must see!

Wait That’s Not The Ocean!
From Starry Eyed Events: Las Vegas is always evolving, bringing people together from all over the world to indulge in fantasy. Over the last few years couples have been ditching the chapel scene opting instead for pop up weddings! The idea is like an elopement. You can get married anywhere enjoying the natural landscapes or right in the middle of a fast paced city. For this shoot we decided to have it at the Dry Lake Beds just outside of Las Vegas. For the backdrop quote we finally hit inspiration with ” She was an ocean forever his wonder” then hand painted it in calligraphy onto the periwinkle backdrop.
Making A Splash In The Sand
We completely embraced the mermaid theme with mermaid makeup, crowns and tattoos. Our bride had her makeup / hair done at the trendy Atomic Style Lounge. We took our favorite wedding elements and used them in the desert!
Even for this intimate gathering we decided to go with a 3 tier wedding cake, it’s ocean details contrasted beautifully against the surrounding desert. The table settings had centerpieces truly fit for a luxury wedding, fresh vivid blooms mixed with colorful coral and an acrylic table number sign.
