After reconnecting over a breakfast date, Kendra and Eric realized just how special their connection was, and the rest was history. They settled on a destination wedding at RT Lodge , located in the beautiful foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains.
With an understated elegance and the allure of phenomenal natural settings, this location allowed them to host all of their wedding events at one venue, and also offered accommodations to house their guests for a full weekend-long celebration.

The Welcome Party
This unique personalization included items like Garrett’s Popcorn – a Chicago fave – and mini bottles of moonshine and Jim Beam. From Friday evening, through the Sunday morning departure, custom watercolor paper goods accented otherworldly floral installations by Nashville’s Mary Love Richardson. Kendra and Eric incorporated a score of unique details into their weekend destination wedding – from themed signature cocktails named after their grandparents for the Welcome Party, to cookies and treats tucked into welcome gifts that told their story across the states that they had shared special moments in.

Proper Southern BBQ
Rt Lodge will cater your entire weekend wedding from start to finish with the most delicious food and drinks. Kendra and Eric opted for a Proper Southern BBQ buffet for their first night. The menu looked beyond delicious and included: Meats, Sweet and Sour Vinegar Slaw, Pit Smoked Baked Beans, Braised Collard Greens, Roasted Potato Salad and Seasonal Vegetables. For their dessert they chose one of the following: Market Fruit Cobbler with Whipped Cream, Bananas Foster, Skillet Upside Down Cakes, S’more Chocolate Silk Tart, Assorted Cookies and Brownies.
The entire mill was served with Buttermilk Biscuits and Skillet Cornbread. Yum!

The Rt Lodge is exclusively yours for the weekend of your celebration, from Friday through Sunday. They offer the wedding couple a uniquely personal experience for up to 200 guests.
