Dylan and Lauren’s Love Story
How They Met As told by Lauren:
The beginning of our story started in a place where we’ve both spent a lot of time – a gymnasium. We went to different high schools and our schools were playing each other that night. It was a brief interaction on the way out of the gym where my dad saw an old friend from high school who happened to be at the game watching her son play. We were both pretty timid and embarrassed our parents were forcing this introduction, but we both instantly felt a connection. We had a mutual friend and shortly after that night Dylan joined our friend group. We spent a lot of time hanging out as friends and finally started dating almost two years later! We’ve been inseparable ever since.
The proposal
was incredible. My husband and I both grew up playing basketball and my husband plays professionally now, so we have spent countless hours in a gym. He asked if I would want to shoot around at the arena and grab dinner after. We arrived at the arena and started getting shots up. I ran over to grab a ball and when I turned around I heard our favorite Ed Sheeran song playing as balloons started falling from the rafters. I saw Dylan on one knee, and every screen in Rocket Mortgage said “Lauren, Will you Marry Me?”. To top it off Dylan had arranged for both of our families to be in Cleveland and they were hiding in a suite watching the entire proposal unfold. It was truly a dream and one of the best days of our lives.
Wedding Vision
Our vision was to have a modern, chic beach wedding that incorporated some timeless features. Our theme was to use a lot of black and white tied in with greenery, white and muted pink florals. Bonnie and her team brought our vision to life. They were able to accentuate the already stunning venue with a gorgeous flower arch at our ceremony and they surprised us with the most incredible overhead floral arrangement at the head table. We were beyond happy with Bonnie and her team and they truly made our wedding the best day of our lives.
The planning process was a breeze
I knew I wanted to hire Bonnie of

after just one phone call. I was drawn to her personality and knew she could bring our vision to life. I genuinely enjoyed the wedding planning process because of how easy and fun it was to work with Bonnie and her team. I was somewhat nervous to have a wedding in another country but quickly discovered I was in great hands.
One of our favorite parts of having a destination wedding
Guests arrived a few days before the ceremony. We were able to relax and truly enjoy time with our closest friends and family leading up to the big day. Our wedding day was incredibly stress-free and beyond anything we could have imagined. Bonnie and her team thought of every detail, which allowed us to be present and enjoy our time in Cabo with our favorite people. We danced the night away at our reception and everyone jumped in the pool after! We didn’t want the night to end. And to top the weekend off we had a pool party the next day to keep the celebration going.
Chic modern wedding reception
Cabo florist created a spectacular floral arrangement, Let It Bloom. We are awe-struck by the hanging Edison bulb floral instillation and the cascading arrangement on the head table. Truly gorgeous!
