New York, October 7, 2021 – Pia Gladys Perey returns to bridal week with a renewed sense of versatility and simplicity. Focusing on simple cuts and lines that she enjoyed during her youth while introducing a new fabrication, mulberry silk. A fabric that supports her celebration of the modern woman and her focus on the many facets of sustainability. Amidst the pandemic, Pia is inspired by our ability to go back to what is essential and simple by revisiting her youth and reminiscing on simple joys – accepting the fact that seeing, making and celebrating beauty does not require so much effort . Focusing on the resilience and strength that is in everyone of us. Emerging from all the challenges and changes with positivity, pivoting to the future with a better perspective of what is important.
The 32-piece collection includes Pia’s signature drapes in her machine-washable, wrinkle free silky jersey fabric that has been her clientele’s favorite for more than a decade. Her key pieces include the Clara and Emy dresses that showcased her skill for delicate draping as well as stunningly simple yet breathtaking designs like the Giselle and Amina dresses in mulberry silk. This collection also includes a bridal gown which is a preview of what is in store for the brand in the near future as well as simple and modern white dresses that are a perfect reflection of what brides need at the moment.
For this season, PGP partnered with fashion jewelry line Jacatel, sustainable shoe line Della Terra and international beauty brand and make up artist Natasha Moore Cosmetics.
