If you weren’t at Jon and Mahvish’s wedding, let me tell you, you missed out. They started out the weekend by having a dinner cruise to celebrate their rehearsal dinner on Lake Mackinaw. From the food to the atmosphere, it was absolutely beautiful. We had an amazing time getting to know their friends and family…on their three hour tour. The view from the deck was simply stunning, as the sun set over the water and the waves lapped at the boat.
Friday we were provided with our own sarees and sherwanis and we had an amazing time at the Pakistani mehndi. Special guests and family performed dances for the couple, ranging from traditional to hip hop! So much fun!On Saturday, the traditional American ceremony and reception took place. Mahvish’s father gave one of the best speeches we’ve heard yet and was a tough act to follow. DJ Ryan did an amazing job of mixing the music so everyone was out dancing the entire night.
