After 10 years together, Brett finally decided to pop the question to the love of his life, Megan. Grace T. Photography came up with a beautiful idea to make this momentous occasion one for the books! Their planned “styled shoot” was so much more, and Megan had no idea what was to come.

After 10 years of dating
From Grace T. Photography: Megan and Brett have been together for 10 years, YES, 10! Megan is a nurse and Brett works at an Insurance Agency in Des Moines, IA. Brett came to me about 4 months ago and said he was finally looking at rings!
planning the perfect surprise
He told me all he wanted was for me to be there to capture it, so I took the liberty to plan this “styled shoot” asking Megan if I could use her and Brett as models for something I’ve been meaning to put together. She agreed, but did not know she was agreeing to the best day of her life this far!
confetti toss go time!
We started with hair and makeup, then drove out to the location in Des Moines. They “posed” for me for about a half hour before I gave Brett the secret wink that it was go time! I told Megan to hold the biodegradable confetti and to throw it in the air and spin at the same time. I told her I had seen something like it on a blog and wanted to recreate it.
waiting on one knee
After one practice round, she tossed the confetti and Brett was waiting behind her one knee when she turned. I was sobbing behind the camera out of happiness for these two!
