Every bride looks forward to her portrait session. They are photos that you will look back on fondly for a lifetime. Traditionally, bridal portraits are taken at the venue on the day of, but if you talk to your photographer ahead of time, you can arrange to have your bridal portraits taken on a separate day so that you don’t have to miss a single moment of your wedding! Sound great? You know what would make it even better–what if you got to stroll around the streets of Paris in your gown and enjoy all the sights and delicacies that the City of Love has to offer? That’s exactly what this team did in this whimsical inspiration shoot.

A DAY IN PARIS

Explore with us this truly perfect Parisian day as Katie Trauffer Photography and her bride, Anna, take you on a whirlwind tour of the City of Love. After a year of closings and shutdowns, they were inspired to transform the idea of a classic bridal session into a celebration of truly honoring your most authentic joy. To do this, they took inspiration from the city around them and their own love for Paris to create a full-day shoot that would encapsulate the perfect Parisian day but in the most fabulous way. Putting aside conventions of what a bridal session should look like, they instead designed a full day filled with beauty, delicious food, and beloved locations all with an editorial edge and stunning fashion.

BREATHTAKING BEAUTY

Photographer Katie says, “Part of what makes Paris such an enchanting city is how every street is just brimming with awe-inspiring beauty while still bustling with daily life. You can sit in your local corner terrace where your favorite server knows your daily order yet be just steps from artifacts dating back thousands of years, on roads remarkably rich with history, surrounded by the most elegant architectural design. Parisian streets are both breathtakingly beautiful and breathtakingly normal and we wanted to celebrate that dichotomy in this bridal session. We brought together luxuriously elegant styling and grand locations with cherished daily moments like that first bite of a perfectly flaky croissant or the calm of sitting at your favorite cafe table for a cappuccino.”

DELICACIES ABOUND

Your day starts with a warm, buttery croissant, and a rich, decadent cup of Angelina’s iconic hot chocolate as you make your way through the Jardin des Tuileries. You settle in a comfortable seat around the Grand Bassin Rond savoring your breakfast while reading about famous Parisian Impressionist painters before heading steps away to roam the halls of The Louvre. Having had your fill of inspiration, you wander to a local cafe to journal and reflect on the perfect morning. A cappuccino later you’re ready to continue exploring, stopping by the Palais Royal before stocking up on delightful Laduree macarons. Finally, you make your way to the Point Alexander to take in a classically breathtaking sunset over the Eiffel Tower before adjourning with your loved ones for a celebratory meal L’Arpege.
