Provence Lavender field engagement photos by Jeremie Hkb

Marjohn and Caleb dreamed of exploring Provence and having the breathtaking lavender fields as their engagement photo backdrop. The lavender fields only bloom once a year, so planning and preparation are a must.

The couple reached out to Provence wedding photographer,
Jeremie Hkb to advise them on when and where to make their engagement photo dreams a reality, and we are going to share all the details with you.

Please scroll down to learn when you can see lavender in Provence, along with Marjohn and Caleb’s extraordinary engagement session. You can

Planning Your Provence Vacation

Jeremie proposed the couple visit in early August. Most of the lavender is gone, but there are fewer tourists since it is the end of the season. However, Jeremie knew of a superb little village called Sault that crops the lavender later in the season. He also recommended that Marjohn and Caleb stay at the beautiful
Renaissance Aix-En-Provence Hotel, allowing the couple an opportunity to visit and explore the area.

WHEN TO TAKE YOUR ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS
IN THE PROVENCE LAVENDER FIELDS

The main lavender fields of Provence are centered on, and to the north, of the Luberon and Verdon plateau regions to the north of Aix-en-Provence and Marseille, and to the east of Avignon, with the flowering season in the lowlands being generally from mid June to mid July, though it can vary slightly from year to year depending on rainfall and temperature.

Tailor Made Engagement Session

Jeremie created a tailor-made engagement session for the couple. To start off the couple would toast their engagement with glasses of French Champagne surrounded by the purple waves of lavender. After they would visit a buttery, gold wheat field during the magic hour to take advantage of Provence’s magnificent light.

To see more of Jeremie’s couple sessions, visit here. His 2020 rates for couple sessions are currently $600, but please remember that rates change as time goes on.
