How The Right Lighting Can Bring Your Guests’ Experience To The Next Level

As you’re browsing wedding blogs and the depths of social media for wedding inspiration, there’s one important element that often goes overlooked–wedding lighting. If you haven’t thought of it before, now is the perfect time to start. Many venues come with built-in lighting that they can customize to meet your wedding vision, but if you don’t specify your likes and dislikes, they may default to something that can completely change the look of your wedding, like colorful uplighting that changes the feel of your photos or even the way colors appear to your guests. Good lighting adds to the overall ambiance. For soccer pro Paco Alcácer’s wedding, lighting was paired, like a fine wine, with a meal from a Michelin Star Chef to create an immersive experience.

Famed Spanish wedding planner, Si Quiero by Sira Antequera designed this stunning wedding and didn’t miss a single detail. Floreale and Virginia Florista turned this venue into a floral wonderland with multiple hanging floral installations and canopies. These photos by Javier Sancho De Altube and Victor Marti of El Marco Rojo perfectly illustrate how lighting was used to take the guests on a journey from the sunlit ceremony to the warm, glowing reception. Keep reading to hear more from Sira Antequera about this stunning wedding and how this couple prioritized their guests’ experience above all else. And, make sure to check out the full gallery to see all of these stunning photos!

LET THE PLANNING BEGIN

Wedding ceremony in a modern venue with floral arch and guests

Pro soccer star, Paco Alcácer and his wife, Bea, dreamed of a fairytale wedding. Bea wanted most to enjoy the time with their loved ones. As soon as they got engaged, they hired Sira Antequera, a sought-after Spanish Wedding Planner. The ceremony was a dream in white. They made sure that Martina, Bea and Paco’s little daughter, was close to them and played a special role in their big day. Bea and Paco also started working on their menu early. Quique Dacosta, the 3 Michelin Starred Chef was the artist behind this fabulous menu. There were plenty of tempting stations set up with the best of Spanish gastronomy with a Dacosta twist. The dinner was served with a stunning atmosphere of lighting that was designed to match the feeling of each course. The dinner finished with a gorgeous enchanted forest dessert buffet. And then the party started…
