This team decided to take their fall wedding inspiration shoot to a disco roller rink place and we’re obsessed. First of all, the warm earthy tones of fall colors mesh perfectly with a 70s vibe. Then for a little extra fun, they threw in some glittering disco balls and some neon signage for good measure. And we can’t get enough of the bride’s bell sleeves that would make Stevie Nicks jealous!
Alayna Mines planned this fun-filled shoot and made sure to incorporate the 70s theme into every part of the design. Clay Theatre, the venue, is vintage itself but its modern makeover made it the perfect backdrop for this retro shoot. Gather and Grace Designs designed these fun florals that use a combo of dried and live flowers which gives each arrangement a sculptural feel. Kindle & Grain captured the colors of this wedding inspiration perfectly, playing up the warm fall tones and enhancing the overall vibe of the shoot. GROOVY BABY
“Come & Skate a While” is a nod to the funky vibe of the 70’s era! Our team used both modern and groovy touches that our generation of couples wants in their big day while using textures like pampas, jute, and suede to bring on the groovy glamour! The Clay Theatre, a landmark that was once a thriving movie cinema and popular destination for tourists visiting Green Cove Springs, offered the perfect “time capsule” backdrop for our shoot.
RETRO YET APPROACHABLE
For the design, our goal was to bring in some of these funky retro 70s elements to life, while still keeping this shoot attainable. We wanted couples looking at the design to say, “WOW I want to do that!”. We went with apricot and rust tones paired with neutral florals. You’ll also notice a few fun other colors, like champagne and some tasteful pops of burgundy.
