A great wedding designer can take a simple idea and create magic. This “core” wedding design is a great example of how to make your design element the focus of your event and create a seamless design from a solitary concept. I love how the couple has taken the idea of “The Apple” and balanced it with their academic background.
The reception room has an amazing glass ceiling accented by open wood beams. As part of the design concept, the designer took lush, oversized ferns and suspended them from the beams along with rustic metal star burst lanterns – these two elements bring your attention to the ceiling. During the afternoon you have a wonderful open air feel and as the evening grows dark, the entire sky is filled with stars.
The floral designer has put superior attention into the details and carries the apple theme into the tablescapes. The perfect choice of rose and blush colored blossoms matching the graphic sit on top of the cylindrical vases. The clear glass vessels hold river rock, herbs, and grasses, replicating the open feel of the atrium. We can’t overlook the cake – the delicate espresso piping is an exact match to the graphics on the invitations, response cards, and programs.
