This moody engagement at dusk is something out of a romance novel and we’re loving all the dramatic styling throughout the story. Dreamed up and designed by MILI LO Event Design & Planning and captured by Kapetanakis Studios, this mystical engagement tells of a romantic dinner for two followed up by a surprise proposal at dusk (spoiler…she says YES).

glamorous & dramatic
From MILI LO Event Design & Planning: Nature is a large inspiration in my life and triggers my imagination and creativity. After stumbling across this huge, magnificent oak tree in the Royal County Estate in northern Athens, I felt this would create a mysterious backdrop and dramatic setting for a winter proposal style shoot.
In order to counter balance the monotonous and bare surrounding, I envisioned a glamorous yet dramatic set up. I wanted to use luxurious elements such as velvet, gold touches and mirrors. I wanted something on a grand scale as well as mystical so I chose my vendors accordingly starting off with the photography team and engagement ring followed by the furnishings and so on.
the décor details
Moving onto the décor details, we designed custom made stationery, a textured custom cake and cake topper. We designed a bright but warm floral garland to create a contrast with the surrounding and handpicked exclusive art de la table tableware pieces to suit the sophisticated and elegant dinner table.
the fashion
The dress was selected from a daring fashion designer whose design fit perfectly with our concept as it was a bold design yet dramatic style in velvet, which is the ultimate sophisticated winter fabric. The suit worn was a luxurious black and grey tuxedo also tailored by a famous designer.
