A Classic Southern Wedding in The Blue Ridge Mountains

Share

Classic farm wedding

The Blue Ridge Mountains made for a beautiful backdrop for Taylor and Cody’s classic wedding, which took place at the home of a family friend. CCS Events went along with their vision and kept the decor sweet and simple with rustic details, white florals, and French blue accents.

Their adorable pup was a fun addition to their wedding, while the family heirloom cake topper a sweet sentiment! This wedding is classic southern charm at its finest, so see it below from Mackenzie Kern Photography and in the full gallery.

From CCS Events

Taylor and Cody chose a venue close to home both figuratively and literally. They knew they wanted to get married in the Blue Ridge Mountains where they were raised so that all their family and friends could be in attendance. The venue they chose held a sentimental value as the couple knew the owner’s of the home personally.

the style

The couple’s style was simple, timeless and full of Southern charm. Along with her dress, Taylor wanted a crisp and clean, all-white wedding to mirror the clean lines of the traditional Southern home. Touches of elegant French blue were added as an accent color. Taylor and Cody’s family created beautiful centerpieces for each table and a family heirloom was used as the cake topper.

keeping it personal

It was important for the couple to personalize their special day in a variety of ways. They chose a venue that gave a backdrop of the mountains to include that import aspect of their upbringing. Taylor and Cody’s dog was included in the ceremony, as well.

the reception

Showing their friends and family a good time was super important. Comfort food was served to give guests a taste of home. There was a custom keg wall at the bar with beer on tap from Devil’s Backbone Brewery where Taylor worked. They also created a fun and trendy outdoor lounge area for guests to enjoy. Taylor and Cody sat at a kings table outside of the tent with their closest friends and enjoyed a night under the stars full of dancing, laughter and most importantly, love.
