How to Have a Romantic and Fresh Citrus Wedding in Red

Share

Happy wedding couple with bride holding floral bouquet

“You are my main squeeze” was the saying that set the scene for Johnathan and Marissa’s gorgeous late Spring wedding at The Mission Basilica and Serra PlazaMonge Amore Events ran with the quote (which the bride often called her groom) and their red-hued color palette to create a fresh “Kissed by the Citrus Sun” theme for their wedding.

The unique wedding vision came together with fresh citrus oranges and hues of red, peach, and orange throughout. Our favorite detail though? The fabulous floral design from The Tangled Vine, which transformed their courtyard reception into a romance filled atmosphere. See it all below and catch a closer look in the full gallery from Lin & Jirsa.

Love is a fruit in season at all times and within reach of every hand. “You are my main squeeze,” Marissa would say to her love & now husband Jonathan Pacheco. Wedding Planner, Ashley from Monge Amore Events ran with the quote, paired with the couple’s preferred color palette to create a theme “Kissed by the Citrus Sun” for Johnathan and Marissa’s late Spring wedding.

Citrus + floral design

The wedding team incorporated colorful hues as Bonnie from The Tangled Vine created a masterpiece of floral design with colors of citrus oranges, peaches, wine reds, and “cuties” dazzled on the guest’s tables to compliment the couple’s adorable cuteness. Lin & Jirsa and White Rose Production were there to capture all the details, from the bride’s Lexy wedding dress from Saint Clark Bridal Suite, Badgley Mischka wedding shoes & accessories, CZ Invitations, and sun kissed beauty by Veronica Fensel.

To entertain the many wedding guest goers during their fruitful dining experience, a Lazaro Trio, Pure Essence Entertainment and Jessica Pacheco Flamenco Dancers put on a show of colorful proportions. To top the evening off with a cherry on top, the guests enjoyed the wedding cake by Stephy Cakes, each tier with unique citrus flavors to incorporate the couple’s delicious theme.
