Bride and groom kissing in a field of yellow flowers

We all want to have a great time on our wedding day, but sometimes we can get in our own way. Trying to take the whole event too seriously and forgetting to let loose will do that, so if you are trying to have The Best time at your big day, take a look at how this next couple spent their wedding day.

If you are still needing some carefree inspiration check out the full gallery. We have tons more for you to see thanks to the photography talents of Danielle Determan.

Special moments

The ceremony was very special because the bride’s little brother was the officiant. He brought so much humor to the ceremony with the sibling jokes, but also it was very heartfelt because he loves the groom and approves. There was a first-look in the open green fields with surrounding rolling hills. The ceremony was in a field of wildflowers and then the cocktail hour was up at the farmhouse with apps like mini chicken and waffles and grilled cheese bites with tomato soup shooters.

Then the reception was held in a modern barn at the bottom of the site. Food was pork tacos, beef sliders, chicken sandwiches, french fries, and mac ‘n’ cheese since we got engaged right before heading to a mac ‘n’ cheese festival. We wanted a backyard bbq type of feel.

Party All night

The dance floor was a party for sure all night which we loved because the bride loves to dance! The groom doesn’t really like cake so we got a donut truck instead that serves hot fresh mini donuts with different toppings. When the DJ had to wrap up the remaining guests and couple headed back up to the farmhouse where we had tons of large pizzas delivered as a nightcap. It truly was the best day ever.

Budget Breakdown

We talk about it often and wouldn’t change anything. Everything felt perfect. The final budget overall was about $35,000.00.

Some of the budget breakdown is $12,000 for the venue,
$500 for the donut truck,
$1000 on rentals,
$700 for bartenders,
$6000 for catering,
and $1450 for DJ.

As for the other vendors they were friends of mine so they gave me a special deal.
