Summer is coming, and you know what that means. It’s festival season! Oh but wait, aren’t you planning on tying that nuptial knot this summer? So what if you could turn your wedding day into a fun event for all involved and give the whole day a festival feel? That’s what our next couple did and we have to say, we’d totally toss out all traditions just to party at this amazing day!

Keep scrolling to find out what we mean, and don’t forget to check out the full gallery for even more photos thanks to Isaac Brown and Gerard Wood!

From the Groom

My partner and I began planning our wedding about a year before the big day. We found the whole process so enjoyable, and we planned the whole thing together. We wanted to create an event where the guests could eat, drink and do whatever they want! Completely untraditional. So we hired 4 food trucks, bathtubs filled with ice and alcohol, occasional outdoor furniture and a giant 8m teepee. Guests could eat from whichever food truck they wanted (or all if they were hungry!), and drink whatever they wanted (we had over 15 different types of alcohol to choose from!).

The day went perfectly (besides the 10-minute thunderstorm straight after the ceremony, which left us without power for an hour – using one of the food trucks generators to keep the music going got us through!). We had the ceremony in the venue’s side garden in front of 170 of our closest friends and family, followed by the festival style outdoor wedding reception afterward! Guests were given gourmet Bistro Morgan doughnuts as they left at the end of the night.
