From Arizona to California
From the bride: So why go out of state? why California? Adam and I didn’t want just a wedding day or night, we wanted to create an experience for all of our closest family and friends and be able to spend an entire weekend celebrating with them. We wanted them to be able to completely check out and have a good time. Our ceremony location was a secret…from everyone. All of our guests were instructed to meet at the reception hotel lobby where they were transported on limo buses to our secret ceremony location tucked away in the middle of the vines. The only hint at this was through the watercolor map that we had created as a part of our invitation suite.
get that spring feeling
From the very beginning, we had decided that we wanted a completely outdoor wedding and wanted it to be romantic and whimsical. We wanted it to be somewhat rustic…but not mason jar rustic. We originally loved the thought of blush pink but I personally felt like blush had been very over done the past few years so we still wanted something springy but soft and romantic. We ended up choosing a very pale soft blue, navy, blush and hints of rose gold. We also tied in a lot of natural elements such as wood throughout the wedding.
DIY decor ideas
I’m a very crafty person and love making things, I feel it’s much more personal, so we created all of the wooden & plexiglass signage from the wedding, the gold foiled water vile’s, programs and every little tag in between. One of our groomsmen and Adam also created the life size photo frame to take our “photo booth” to the next level.
