For being frequent visitors of Charleston, this couple deciding to have their wedding in a romantic Southern city was a no-brainer. From their pineapple invitations welcoming their loved ones to the South to the hanging Spanish moss above their garden ceremony, we can confidently say that their guests felt welcomed with the warmth that only a “hey y’all” can offer.
Secret ingredients of a romantic wedding: gold, blush, & pineapples! This wedding has all the above in large quantities! See it all in the full gallery, photographed by Caroline Ro.

Treating Your Vendors Right Is Huge
From Caroline Ro Photography: From the beginning, Cait and Mike were all in, which is one of my
business’ tag lines and the kind of couples I love. From when we got
together for drinks before their engagement session and then parted ways
three hours later, I was in love with these guys. Spanning their
invitations to the working on their timeline together, I felt so valued
and trusted the entire process. As a photographer, that’s one of the
biggest compliments. It’s another way of a couple saying “We see you as
an artist and we trust you to document our day beautifully and
truthfully.” And now we’re here. Almost two months after their wedding and I’m
wanting to do it all over again. Cait and Mike, are you guys in?

Some Important Things To Keep In Mind
Advice from the bride: Brides – Bring a change of shoes! We did a first look so I was in my
shoes 4 hours before the ceremony started and was soo happy I brought a
pair to change into mid-reception. A cute idea is to design your own
converse which you can do online or at a Converse Ink store 🙂 While we
were engaged so many people told us that the day was going to
fly by– which it did. But we made a point throughout the night to pull
each other aside and stop to take a look around at everything going on
around us. Mike and I remember 3 specific times we did this and are so
happy to have those memories.

PEEK AT Everything Before Guests Arrive
Most couples spend a lot of time and energy planning a wedding.
Although we have pictures to look back on, we wanted to have a moment
before the ceremony to walk around the venue and see everything all set
up. This was one of our favorites moments of the day because our planner
made sure no one else was around except for vendors and our bridal
party and we all walked around and noticed the layout and decor. Being able to take a
look around before it’s crowded with people was an unreal experience and
better than we could’ve imagined.
