Bride and groom pose in front of a white barn door

Oh no, this next wedding is too fabulous to miss! It’s French country glam with pops of purple at one of the prettiest white washed barns we’ve seen. Add on some amazing diy florals plus lots of rustic decor and it’s almost too pretty for words!
From the amazing centerpieces, to the lovely wedding cake – there’s so much more to see of this white and purple glam farm wedding! View the full gallery here beautifully photographed by Erica Mae Photography.

French country glam

From the Bride: The inspiration behind the wedding was French Country. The venue, The White Sparrow, was gorgeous therefore we didn’t want to take away from it with decorations. Florals were used to enhance the beauty and add a few pops of color. I knew we wanted to use lots of whites and purples for flowers with added greens to make the florals look lush and natural.

Wedding flowers

Lots of preparation lead up to the day of the wedding. Flowers were picked up and prepped on Thursday. On Friday, my aunt and cousin (who designed the florals) arranged all the bouquets, center pieces, corsages, boutonnieres, and outdoor arrangements. That way the day of could be used to construct all the tables and decorate the rest of the venue.

DIY wedding decor

Well before the wedding we gathered furniture, whiskey barrels, decorations, and signs from friends and family. Barely any decor was purchased for the wedding. Lots of our ideas and inspiration came from Pinterest but we tweaked all of the ideas to fit us, as a couple. My husband likes rustics and wood whereas I liked lots of florals and statement pieces. I truly believe the ceremony and reception was a perfect mixture of both our taste.

Always have a plan b

Some advice for future brides and grooms is always have a back up plan or plan B. We knew before hand that not everything would work out the way we wanted and that it was okay. Having that mindset made it easier on the day of the wedding when something didn’t go exactly as planned.
