Two Peas In A Pod
From Shindig Bespoke: Linda and Rob have a zillion things in common – so much so, that they even included a handful of “fun facts” on their wedding’s program fans!
They share the same astrological sign (Leo), born just days apart. Each from New York, they both graduated from Syracuse University. And it was their shared love of live music that finally brought them together years later at an after party during a New Year’s run of Phish shows in the winter of 2012
For the Love Of Music
The invitation announced the bash with a giant, folded up, full color concert poster. All language included within pointed to the wedding as a music event, complete with a vintage illustration of Radio City Music Hall – one of their favorite venues and a nod to the city they call home.
After an indoor/outdoor cocktail hour, guests found their tables by way of the “Will Call” station where they picked up their escort cards designed like concert ticket
Bring On The Dancing
As the party progressed there were belly dance performances (Linda performs as a belly dancer when not teaching AP Calculus and Statistics), photobooth fun and live covers of favorite Phish songs that brought the whole party onto the dance floor.
Sugar Rush
The final act, giving everyone the sugar high they needed to make it to the after party, was an elaborate dessert station customized to include a popular local cupcakery, fresh apple cider donuts, and a giant candy bar (with personalized take home bags) that would put Willy Wonka to shame.
