What could be better on a rainy day then a little wine and cheese tasting? How about a wedding?! Krystle and Kenny’s rainy day wine and cheese wedding is what fantasies are made of! We loved everything from the cheese tasting guestbook to the butterfly release wedding ceremony. They even had an exciting grape stomp race!

Wedding Stationery To Die For
Not only did Amy Heitman created a masterpiece of an invitation suite complete with a fold out invitation and reception artwork including the menu, ‘Rate Your Wine’ coasters, and ‘Rate your Cheese’ guestbook cards. We also used the lovely envelope liner design by Amy to create custom napkin fabric thru Spoonflower.

From When Pigs Fly Events: Krystle and Kenny are such incredible people who shared with us their vision of a small intimate affair in the backyard of an incredible vineyard in Healdsburg, Ca. Their shared love of the color aqua and Krystle’s love for cheese created the springboard we needed to start creating this epic wedding.
One of the things we wanted to translate into the wedding is their charming figures side by side – Kenny is a statuesque 6’7” and Krystle is a svelte 5’7”. We knew we had to enlist the artistry of Amy Heitman to bring them to life in illustration for the invitations.
Rock Your Rainy Day Wedding
Krystle and Kenny celebrated their gorgeous wedding on one of this very special “10% chance of rain” days that turns into “torrential downpour for the 2 hours during your wedding celebration” kind of days.
But, as you can see from their big smiles, they were beyond excited to share this amazing day with each other and 40 of their closest friends and family. The biggest gift from the rain was the double rainbow that spread across the sky soon after they said their “I Do’s.
The sun broke through and they were able to finish the rest of their wedding ceremony sans rain, and able to release their butterflys.
Wedding Grape Stomp
One of the couples’ main focuses for the day was to make sure the kids were happy and that guests were entertained. The grape stomp race was an absolute success. The girls faced off against the guys (girls won) for an all out stomp to the win. The kids were also invited to build a house for the newlyweds with big wooden blocks and to bounce the night away in a bouncy house.
Always Have A Plan B
Because of the rain, we had to move the fully dressed tables in 10 minutes to another location under awning of the house. The setting worked perfectly and guests wined and dined on a family style meal while listening to live music. Nearly half of the wedding guests stood up to toast the couple
