Magical Moment
From the Bride: Above all, I loved our entire ceremony. I know that sounds silly because everyone loves their ceremony. But ours was just so genuine. So personal. I get teary eyed just typing this. The best choice we could’ve made was having our good friend marry us. He put so much time and love into the ceremony. He had everyone laughing and there was a whole lot of crying.
Make It Meaningful
If there is one piece of advice I can give future brides & grooms, it’s this: Make your wedding about the two of you. Have it reflect exactly who you are as a couple. If you do this, your wedding day will always be timeless.
For us, that meant keeping everything casual, genuine and most of all – fun! All we really dreamed of was a day filled with our closet friends and family, a relaxed setting, good BBQ, and spending the rest of the night on the dance floor singing along to Journey after we said our “I do’s.”
Budget For Your Favorite Things
Once you guys decide on the things that matter most cost wise, you can find ways to cut corners with the other things. One of our biggest costs that we did not want to give up was our band. And we are so, so happy we did not budge on that!
Pie To Go
My only regret is that I didn’t take time to eat pie! We had an amazing desert table filled with pies, donuts and cakes. I was so busy dancing and mingling that I didn’t make myself a plate. If i could rewind, I would have had my wedding planner snag us a plate of desserts to take to the hotel after.
