South Africa Farm Wedding: Proteas, Succulents & Heartfelt Vows

Share

Beautiful bride with protea bouquet on her wedding day

This cute couple chose to say their “I do’s” on their farm in South Africa where both sunshine and smiles were abundant. King protea flowers and succulents were the flowers of the day that beautifully complimented the blue and pink color scheme.
Darling design work from Dew to Remember tied the whole day together into one fun filled wedding. Itching to see more of this South Africa farm wedding? View the full gallery here, beautifully captured by Laura Jane Photography.

From the Bride:Our wedding was absolutely awesome!!! We had a real old school farm wedding. Everything was so breathtakingly beautiful, easy going, and so ‘us’ with lots of detail. It was exactly this that made our wedding day so unique. Our theme was hearts and our inspiration was our personalities, our friends, and family.

The ceremony was held outside in the bush under a tree (we called it ‘Belofte Bos’ which translates to Bush/Forest of Promises) and the Makiti (party) was in a big shed, which we converted into the most beautiful venue. Our vows were personal and from the heart – the message that was given to us was so beautiful and as we walked out and it was time for the confetti, it started raining for a few minutes, which definitely was God’s blessing on our marriage. It was so special and perfect.

“Eat, Drink and be Merry” was how we ended our perfect day and as usual when it comes to real farm wedding it was flour on the dance floor and away we danced into the night. We ate until we burst, drank until we overflowed, and danced until we fell down. God truly blessed us with amazing friends and family.
