From the Bride:
Like a lot of girls, I’ve dreamt about my big day since before I can remember, spinning around in white linen sheets and arranging a bouquet out of various flowers from around the house. My real day came this past October, and it was nothing short of perfection – every single detail was exactly what I had dreamt of as a little girl, even down to the abnormally sunny Washington-autumn day! My Maggie Sottero dress was love at first sight; the crystal-studded flowers from my good friend Brandy Christiansen were exactly what I had pictured; the handmade crystal chandeliers above the stage during our ceremony were breathtaking! We had a huge bridal party – 13 of my favorite girls, and 13 of his favorite guys – and while most people thought we were crazy, we wouldn’t have had it any other way. Our crew looked incredible – girls in their Express dresses and the guys in skinny suspenders and red Vans!
Everything came together in perfect unison, ending with our amazing reception at the Thea Foss Waterway… a huge, empty warehouse packed full of twinkling lights, paper lanterns and a red and white Candy Bar featuring over 500 cupcakes, donated to us the amazing by Jubilee Cupcakes – wonderful people, excellent desserts, and such a joy to work with! I love most of all, that our day was captured so perfectly by our amazing photographer, Jeff Marsh Studios; our memories now adorn the walls of our first home together. The day was a complete reflection of everything my husband and I love, and that was all I could have ever hoped for… it was a day and night for the record books, that’s for sure.
